HEC Liège is looking for a full time assistant professor in Finance

The Finance, Accounting and Law Department of HEC Liège (University of Liège) is looking for an assistant professor in Finance on a replacement contract for the period January to September 2018. A tenure-track position will be opened as of October 1st, 2018 (5 years with an evaluation after 4 years). It will be the subject of a separate call (to which the recruited assistant professor under contract is invited to apply).

Job description :
  • In charge of the courses of Financial Derivatives (30 hours, Master Block 1) and Applied Financial Instruments (25 hours Theory and 20 hours practice, Bachelor Block 3). The courses are organized from February to May with the exam in June. For the practical part of the course, the assistant professor will be helped by a postdoctoral researcher ;
  • Researcher in Finance, in a field related to the peak of excellence of Asset and Risk Management (http://www.hec.ulg.ac.be/en/faculty-research/fields-research-centers/asset-risk-management);
  • Representing HEC in the international scientific community through (for instance) the organisation of scientific events/workshops;
  • Promoting and supervising students' master theses;
  • To be involved into the administrative and scientific life of the department
Your profile :
Contract : The assistant professor will be hired for a period of 9 months as of January 2018 within the Finance, Accounting and Law Department. Possibility of tenure track as of October 1st, 2018.
