Aim: formulating expectations for the meeting as well as explain to the group the programme structure the steering committee has designed, what is the logic behind the programme.

Aim: understanding what the scenery of doctoral education looks like in today’s global environment. How doctoral education is approached in different countries of the world; what models are offered to students; how student mobility is taken into account in these new programmes; what are the different challenges encountered; why are schools diversifying their doctoral education curricula; looking for international cooperation, etc.

International Deans' research perspectives
Aim: understanding and overview of what the doctoral education is in different regions of the world; different types of doctoral programmes available on the market, particular challenges, etc. Participants will be the ones asking the questions to panellists.

Aim: understanding the different doctorate models on the market, what are their specificities, how they are organised, etc.

Aim: participants will discuss in groups of maximum 10 persons on different topics chosen by participants and steering committee members.

Aim: one person from each of the discussion groups will share with the rest of the audience the 3 most important items discussed among the group (5 minutes per group maximum, bullet point format).

Delegates would need to get taxis from the train station – the closest ones are Milton Keynes and Bedford. They are the same distance away from the university and would each cost approximately GBP £15 to get here.

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing. If Momentum EFMD Conference Secretariat receives notice of your withdrawal before 11 May 2012, a cancellation administrative fee of 75€ will be charged. Thereafter, we regret that we are unable to refund any fees. However, in such cases substitutes are welcome at no extra cost as long as EFMD receives notification of the name, title and address of the substitute.
Some rooms have been reserved at the Cranfield residence on campus, just next to the conference venue. You can book a room while you register online for the conference.
Prices for the rooms are :
