Target Group
Deans, Associate Deans, Directors and Managers responsible for learning and space management or with an interest in business school innovation.

Seminar Objectives
The aim of the seminar is to share best practices on the ways higher education institutions can innovate with their teaching and learning. This includes various forms of eLearning and student-centered approaches. New types of learning facilities also appear on the landscape. Therefore, how can schools innovate in the field of pedagogy but also in the infrastructure management?

The seminar will explore these two elements with the examples of two best practices. Participants will have the possibility to openly discuss them with their peers and reflect on their own institution.

Best practice for teaching and learning is changing. New technologies enable teaching and learning to have more flexibility regards to time, place, frequency and individual difference. The meeting between teacher and student will occur through more channels than the traditional lecture, which often has placed emphasis on the monologue. How do we work with faculty to create the next best practice? What kind of changes do we already see in way business schools teach and organize learnings processes, and are there any effects on learning outcomes? These are some of the questions that will be addressed in this session, by looking into actual experiences from adopting innovative ways of teaching.

Designing, building, improving and managing school infrastructure can be a real challenge these days. By stepping out of the operational and going back to the basics, it can help us a lot to manage the complexity we are confronted with. In this session I will share some basic principles and models that can be a real help to make a difference. Or how to get a school infrastructure that stands out and can cope with change … by keeping it simple.

Fees cover attendance of the seminar, documentation, meals and refreshments, but do NOT include hotel accommodation. Hotel fees are to be paid directly to the hotel upon departure (please refer to the Hotel Information Section below for more details).

Cancellation Policy for fees Cancellations must be confirmed in writing. If we receive notice of your withdrawal after 13th May 2015, a cancellation administrative fee of 90,75€ (21% VAT included) will be charged. Thereafter, we regret that we are unable to refund any fees. However, in such cases, substitutes are welcome at no extra cost as long as EFMD receives notification of the name, title and address of the substitute in due time.
