“Developing Atos Future Leaders? GOLD, a Tailor-made Curriculum”

Description
Since 2010, Atos and HEC Paris have collaborated on the design and implementation of a highly customized Learning and Development (L&D) initiative targeting Atos High Potentials. The Gold Program is an international talent development initiative blending innovative and action based learning methods to enable Atos to develop its future executives.

Carefully selected participants, from over 15 countries worldwide, join three one-week residential seminars, including one in Pune, India. On-site sessions, led by international professors, are interspersed with task force project work over a period of nine months. Management topics covered during the program include leadership, strategy, finance, intercultural management, innovation, alliance and change management; all topics identified as key, given the strategic, organizational and human challenges of Atos. Task force projects are selected, sponsored and evaluated by Atos executive committee members to ensure alignment with the company strategy and reinforce business outcomes.

Sponsored by Atos CEO, Thierry Breton, the Program has become a corporate reference in terms of professional recognition, community development (“the Gold Community”), career acceleration (over 50% of participants were promoted into new leadership positions within one year), as well as a talent pool for leading transformation initiatives. The Gold Program has been co-developed with Atos by HEC Paris Executive Education Custom Programs Department.

Atos & HEC Paris were awarded in the EFMD Excellence in Practice Award 2013 in the category ‘Talent Development’. The full case-study is available online.
