The Department of Management of Estonian Business School with campuses in Tallinn (Estonia) and Helsinki (Finland) is seeking applicants for a Full or Associate Professor in Big Data & Business Intelligence beginning on September 1, 2018.

Profile & position

The successful candidate for professorship will be expected to undertake academic leadership in research and advisory services within EBS and demonstrate leadership potential and skills to play a significant role in both research and advisory projects, including the development of skills and supervision of doctoral students and junior faculty. The professor will be expected to build and lead a research and advisory team around a key area of research in big data and business intelligence and publish in high quality, international journals. The candidate must have a broad international network and a proven track record in attracting research funding.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence in research through publications in top-tier journals and collaboration with industry through applied research and consulting activities.

The successful candidate for an associate professor will be expected to conduct individual or collaborative research projects leading to publication in high quality, international journals.

Aside from research and advisory services, the role will be expected to deliver challenging and innovative teaching at both graduate level, and to assist with the administration of EBS. The position requires practical knowledge and skills in management and implementation of big data and business intelligence projects, the comprehensive theoretical knowledge and understanding of the Big Data and Business Intelligence ecosystem.
