Research Associate Negotiation and Conflict Management

The opportunity to learn on the job and work in a dynamic, professional and international environment where you manage and grow the Negotiation Centre for Excellence and contribute to negotiation research and publications.

Become an active player in the Negotiation Community

  • Costumer intimacy with the companies in our Negotiation Center
  • Use and develop your network to attract and select new companies
  • Identify and build connections with other stakeholders in the field of negotiation, mediation and conflict management
Action learning to develop and share expertise

  • Co-create with professors and the team new initiatives, ideas and content to shape the Center and provide input for the workshops & co-develop learning journeys
  • Organize and prepare the workshops for the Center
  • Stay up to date on what is happening in the field of negotiation and conflict management & learn from research, teaching and practice
Develop output and visibility for the Center

  • Help to further advance the recognition of the Center
  • Develop and capture cases, best practices and lessons learned
  • Use social media to develop the negotiation community further
Research and publications

  • Analyse the data from our negotiation database to contribute towards publications
  • Further data collection, conduct desk research and interviews
  • Contribute to publications
What do we expect from you?

An authentic collaborator with a win-win mindset, a proven interest in negotiation and conflict management, a good sense of initiative, excellent research and writing skills, and very good networking and organizational skills.

  • You have a master degree or equivalent
  • You have a passion for negotiation and conflict management, and preferably, relevant studies and/or work-related experience
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch
  • You have or want to further develop first-class research and writing skills
  • You are able to network and connect with the business community
  • You have excellent organizational skills
  • You work with autonomy, responsibility and loyalty
  • You are able to do both: take own initiatives and support others
  • Familiarity with statistics and/or social media is a plus
