Workshops Series C
Theme: The contribution of management education to Corporate Learning

  • C1. Talent development in the light of the war for talent - How to attract and retain the key people of tomorrow
aim of the workshop: consequences from the globalisation, economic streams, demographic changes prediction for Europe, etc. How do you make sure you to have the right people to replace the actual staff that might be leaving? Attracting and retaining the right talent since we are nowadays operating globally; talent shortage in India/China; recruitment of Business School Deans from the corporate world; interchange between the Business School-Corporate worlds; have the Business Schools understanding better the challenges of companies so they can help them by developing different programmes to train, to develop tomorrow’s managers; recruitment of talent for Business Schools lies in the students: with Bologna it is now more and more difficult to retain the students at the school after their studies. Shortage of PhDs in BS. Why are companies interested in sending managers to BS? The companies are more reluctant to invest in their managers because they tend to leave more easily nowadays.
