Mission:

Answering to the Dean, and as a member of the Executive Committee, you will lead the faculty and the Research Department. You will be responsible for adapting and implementing NEOMA BS strategy for Faculty, and will guarantee the quality of the school’s teaching and scientific production.

Principal Functions:

  • Managing Faculty
  • Establish major orientations and objectives for deployment of the strategy defined by the executive committee.
  • Supervise the leading of the faculty together with the Director of Academic Affairs: guarantee the achievement of objectives in terms of recruitment and assessment of performance.
  • In coordination with the finance department, establish and control budgets related to faculty activities.
  • In coordination with administrative departments, ensure the implementation and development of necessary means and resources

Guaranteeing teaching quality within the departments
  • Participate actively in the recruitment of faculty together with HR Faculty, and ensure that recruitment for teaching staff on all programmes operates smoothly in line with the strategic requirements and qualification criteria drawn up by the institution.
  • Guarantee the quality of teaching.
  • Together with the T&LC (Teaching and Learning Centre) ensure that teaching in each department evolves through the use of innovative pedagogic methods.
  • Develop digitalization within all the faculty activities (teaching, students supervision…)
Boosting scientific production
  • Propose and implement a strategic development plan for research activity.
  • Implement measures to ensure researchers improve the quality and quantity of their publications and their international communications.
  • Develop the School’s chair and research contracts.
  • Follow-up personnaly the most strategic research contracts
Representation

  • Work in collaboration with the institution’s various actors who have a role in programme construction and implementation of the school’s strategy (Management committee, programmes, corporate and international relations, etc.).
  • Represent the School as a national or international ambassador when required.
  • Support the activity related to audits and international accreditations
Profile:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline, with a strong research and publication record. Proven track record in managing faculty (activity planning, evaluation,...)
  • Experienced with a research policy at school-level, attracting research funding, managing research projects. Strong experience in research development (publications, research contracts, chairs…)
  • Expertise in digitalization. Experience with the recruitment of faculty, as well at junior as at senior level.
  • Strong international academic network. Working knowledge of both French and English
Open-ended contract, full-time, French “cadre” status
