International Projects Completed Projects QUESTE-VET - Engineering Education
Quality System of European Scientific and Technical Education-Vocational Education and Training (QUESTE-VET)
Ref. n°2006-B/06/B/F/PP-144.007

The project QUESTE-VET aims at designing and implementing an innovative approach of assessment tools and procedures, opening new paths for labellisation and scoring of European institutions or programmes in engineering.

Located at the crossroads of the Bologna process, the Copenhagen Declaration and the Lisbon strategy in higher economic, scientific and technical initial education, vocational training, life long learning and skill validation, the project is designed as an adequate way to stimulate institutions and skill validation organisations to develop continuous improvement steps through an extended accountability and evaluation of their performance. The project puts a special emphasis on all factors fostering the sustainability of the individual competences for all type of professional activities.

The assessment material (including a guide for self-evaluation process) will be tested among 15 institutions related to VET, universities and skill validation organisations in EU. QUESTE-VET assessment procedures, under the form of scorings or granting of a Label, will certify that the assessed institution has a certain level of the quality of its process to meet the needs of industry and its sustainability to prepare to the future evolution of the demand of the enterprises.

Work Packages:
  • WP1: Referentials (assessment criteria)
  • WP2: Improvement steps methodology (guide for self-evaluation)
  • WP3: Assessment methodology (scoring grid)
  • WP4: Selecting 15 pilot institutions
  • WP5: External assessment – labellisation
  • WP6: Feedback process
  • WP7: Project management and coordination
