• By Plane To Switzerland
  • Geneva airport is the nearest airport to Lausanne, about 60km (45 min). We highly recommend that you choose this destination.
  • Zurich airport has more international flight connections. Distance to Lausanne about 230km (2h15).
    
    
• Train to Lausanne
  Due to traffic, we recommend you to take the train from the airport.

  • From Geneva Airport to Lausanne:
    To get to the train station
  1. Exit customs hall and turn left.
  2. At the far end of the hall, pass through rotating doors into the train station. The ticket office is on your right.

The journey to Lausanne takes approximately 45 minutes.
The price one-way is CHF 25.00 in 2nd class or CHF 42.00 in 1st class

1. • FROM ZURICH AIRPORT TO LAUSANNE:
   1. The journey to Lausanne takes approximately 2h30. We advise you to take a direct or Intercity train.
   2. The price one-way is CHF 71.00 in 2nd class or CHF 118.00 in 1st class.

• Public Transport
  FROM LAUSANNE TRAIN STATION TO IMD OR THE HOTEL:
  You can take the metro M2 from Gare to Ouchy and then walk 2min to IMD (see map). The journey is 5 minutes and costs CHF 3.00.
  You can take a taxi in front of the station. The journey is approximately 5-10 minutes and costs about CHF 15.00.
  
  
• Taxi to Lausanne
  We recommend you book a car transfer, as it is cheaper than a regular taxi at the airport.
  FIRST CLASS LIMOUSINE SERVICES
  Should you want to book a car transfer, we recommend using our contact First Class Limousine Services. A booking group for your program has been created, please follow this link to book.
  You might be grouped in the same car with other participants arriving at the same time. You can find more information on First Class Limousine Services' website.
  The price one-way from Geneva airport to Lausanne is CHF 200.00 (or CHF 220.00 by credit card).
  
  
• Car to Lausanne
  From Zurich (230km), Bern (125 km) and Geneva (65km):
  Take highway A1, direction Lausanne. On the highway, follow Lausanne-Sud. At the end of the highway there is a roundabout where you should take the direction "Ouchy". Continue for 1km and you will see IMD on your left.
  
  
• Parking near IMD
  Please note that unfortunately there is no parking available on the IMD campus. You will find below a list of convenient parking around IMD.
  • Parking Port d’Ouchy
    This parking is opposite the Mövenpick hotel and just 2 minutes away from IMD. It is indoors and open 24/24 every day.
    The price per day is CHF 18.00.
    
    
  • Parking P+R Ouchy
    This parking “Park and Ride” is opposite IMD. It is an outdoor parking.
    The price per day is CHF 10.00 including a Lausanne public transport card. Please note that you need coins to buy your ticket at the machine and payment must be done daily.
    
    
  • Parking Place des Fêtes Bellerive
    This parking is opposite IMD, next to the P+R Ouchy parking. It is a big outdoor parking, but is often closed for special local events.
    The price per day is CHF 6.00. Please note that you need coins to buy your ticket at the machine and payment must be done daily.
