EQUIS is operated by the Quality Services Department of EFMD.

The criteria, policies and processes are determined by the EQUIS Committee while granting of the EQUIS Award is made by an independent EQUIS Accreditation Awarding Body. Members of both are appointed by the Board of EFMD.
