Theme
Corporate Learning in the Borderless Workplace:

1. Bersin & Associates research points to a fundamentally changing workplace and workforce – changes that are driving several trends in workplace learning:

  • New technologies and new demographics are changing basic expectations and relations between employee and employer.
  • The Great Recession has shocked organizations into recognizing that competitive advantage required a strategic focus on talent, and that organizational agility relied on building strong, sustaining cultures of learning, led by business.
  • Existing models meet basic needs, but reliance on them risks long-term marginalization and irrelevancy.

2. Taking the lead in enabling organizational learning, deep specialization and talent mobility requires sweeping changes throughout the learning organization and will encompass people, processes and infrastructure.

3. How does today’s learning organization adapt and respond to these changes? This session shares highlights from Bersin & Associates’ 2011 High-Impact Learning Organization study and research-based predictions for success in the decade ahead. Participants will gain an updated understanding of:

  • Capability development and integrated talent management
  • Global audiences and how to address their needs
  • Continuous learning
  • Mobile learning
  • Virtual classrooms
  • Evolution of learning outsourcing
