Ryanair flies to Lappeenranta International Airport from Milan and Düsseldorf in just three hours, and from Barcelona in approximately four hours.

The distance between Helsinki and Lappeenranta is 230 km. The travel time by train is approximately 2 hours.

How to get to Lappeenranta from Helsinki by train
You can find suitable train connections on the following website: VR – Valtion Rautatiet / Finnish National Railway
When arriving by plane to Helsinki, the most convenient way is to travel from Helsinki Airport to Tikkurila railway station by taxi or local bus and take the train from Tikkurila to Lappeenranta. Vantaa bus 61 runs between Tikkurila station and the airport. The journey takes 20 minutes. At the airport the bus stops at terminals T1 and T2.

City bus connections
There are city bus connections to and from the university from the downtown area. Most of the bus drivers do not speak English, and you will need exact change or close to it. The one-way bus fare will be about Eur 4,00. Buses leave from downtown to the university every 15 minutes. City bus stops are identified by a yellow rectangular sign with a picture of a bus.

From the railway station to the hotel
Buses 9 and 3 and 5 travel back and forth between railway station (“Rautatieasema”, bus stop number 170) and downtown ("Keskusta", Town Centre Bus Stop in street “Koulukatu”).

From downtown to the university
Buses 1 and 5 all travel back and forth between downtown ("Keskusta") and the university ("Yliopisto"). The best place to catch the bus from downtown is the Town Centre Bus Stop (in street "Koulukatu"). The University stop is the end stop of lines 1 and 5, i.e. hard to miss.

Taxi service
To get around town, you can find excellent taxi service. A taxi from downtown to the university costs about Eur 15. There are taxi ranks in front of the main post office (Near Sokos Hotel Lappee), at the railway station, and in the market place. The telephone number to reserve a taxi is +358 200 60 400.

Cancellation Policy Date: 5 April 2014
Cancellations must be confirmed in writing. If Momentum EFMD Conference Secretariat receives notice of your withdrawal before 5 April 2014, a cancellation administrative fee of 75€ (+24% Finnish VAT*) will be charged. Thereafter, we regret that we are unable to refund any fees.
* Finnish VAT: For non-Finnish participants, the recovery procedure of VAT will be attached to the invoice.
