“Senior Siemens Production System (SPS) Expert Program”

More than €30 million savings realized by 180 participants – this is the outcome of our learning program on LEAN production.

How do you roll out a sustainable change process on a global scale in over 300 manufacturing sites, while qualifying your own staff and expecting measurable impact from the very beginning? In 2005, we at the Siemens Engineering Group began to increase production competitiveness, focusing on the sustainable implementation of the lean philosophy, using a corporate approach.

After setting up the Siemens Lean System, it very soon became clear, that what Siemens really needed was a group of “home-grown” experts who could act as trainers and facilitators in disseminating knowledge about the lean philosophy company-wide.

This presentation describes the challenges and successful implementation of an ongoing global expert program strategy, operating under continually changing conditions in a large and complex enterprise.

In this session we will:
  1. Describe the strategic challenge meeting the shopfloor demands
  2. Show the program deployment with its strong theory into practice approach
  3. Illustrate the measures taken to ensure real impact from the very beginning
This session will be moderated by Jan Ginneberge.
