CLIP - Corporate Learning Improvement Process, but it also was a step to future cooperation between Europe and ASEAN.On 18 January in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Pertamina organised an international learning conference supported by EFMD on the theme of “Leading from ASEAN: from awareness to action.” The event marked the first time that an Asian company has been accredited by
Pertamina’s Deputy President Director pointed out at the conference that Pertamina was the most profitable petroleum company in Southeast Asia in 2016 and plays a leading role among Indonesia’s state-owned companies. The theme of leading from ASEAN was echoed by speeches from Indonesia’s Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, the Minister of Manpower and ASEAN’s Director for Economic Cooperation.
The 2-day conference was attended by more than 100 learning and development professionals and attracted experts from outside Indonesia. EFMD representatives at the conference were Nadine Lemaitre who was one of Pertamina's CLIP peer reviewers, Jan Ginneberge Senior Advisor for Corporate Services and Bob Aubrey, EFMD Senior Advisor for Asia.
Pak Ihsan (Mr Ihsanuddin Usman) Vice President of Pertamina Corporate University, saw the conference as an opportunity PCU to step up the challenge of supporting Pertamina's internationalisation and transformation from an oil and gas company to an energy company.
